Mr. Iain McDonald is the Founding Principal & serves as Chief Investment Officer at Belerion Capital. He was a Fund Manager at William Currie Group. He served as Board Member at Atterley Road. He also serves as a Board Member and Non-Executive Director at The Hut Group and Secret Sales. He is the owner of Belerion Capital, an advisor to William Currie. Mr. McDonald is a NED of two of Europe's largest e-commerce companies - The Hut Group and Boohoo.com. He is also Chairman of Australia's largest listed e-commerce business, The MySale Group. Belerion Capital advises a small number of Ultra High Net Worth individuals on investments in the technology sector. Mr. McDonald was formerly a number one ranked analyst and the founder of Numis Securities' top-ranked research team. He holds a degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Prior to Belerion, Iain worked as CIO of the William Currie Group; the private family fund of Bill Currie and before that with the investment banks Numis and Charterhouse. At Numis, Iain joined what was a very small, niche stockbroker focused on the Lloyds insurance market and helped to grow the business over the next seven years into one of the UK's pre-eminent mid-sized investment bank. Iain established Numis' research team (which became number one ranked within two years) and at the same time consolidated his own position as the leading retail and e-commerce analyst.
