Dr. Christopher Mayer serves as Chief Executive Officer at Longbridge Financial. At Longbridge Financial, Dr. Mayer has led the expansion of the business, built exclusive partnerships that provide value-added services for older Americans, and developed a data and research program on reverse mortgages. As a faculty member, Dr. Mayer is the Paul Milstein Professor of Real Estate, Finance & Economics at Columbia Business School (currently on leave) and holds affiliations with the Academic Advisory Board at Standard & Poor's and the Federal Reserve Bank of NY. During the financial crisis, he was active in advising policymakers; testifying six times before committees of the US Senate & House of Representatives and authoring a commissioned paper for the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission. Dr. Mayer regularly appears in the media, including National Public Radio, Bloomberg, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. He holds a BA in Math and Economics from the University of Rochester and a PhD in Economics from MIT.
