He raised $1.4 million in seed funding and grew the company to $1 million ARR before leaving. Prior to Written, he was co-founder and CEO of Zosh which was acquired by Hightail (YouSendIt). he launched the company at the DEMO conference where he took the top DemoGod prize with a presentation that included smashing a fax machine on stage with a baseball bat. Prior to Zosh, he was the founder and CEO of Ideal Science a company that powers many of the communities leveraged by Xbox gaming studios including Bungie Studios, the maker of the popular series of Halo games. Microsoft was a strategic partner/investor in Ideal Science. While in college in the late 90 he started Deadabase one of the first online music sites which garnered some fame after the Grateful Dead threatened to sue for copyright infringement. He and the Grateful Dead settled out of court with the band allowing fans to continue to trade music online. He has a BS in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin.
