Dr. William Guttman serves as a Partner at Saturn Partners. Dr. Guttman is a Co-Founder & serves as Chairman at EKCS. He serves as Chairman at Tennessee Community Ventures and CurvePoint. He also serves as a Board Member at Kextil. He served as Chairman at U.S. Liner Company. He served as a Board Member at CloudTags. He has served as an Investment Partner at TL Ventures. He also served as Chairman at Axioma, US Liner/American Made, ClassWallet, AltoIRA, and Panopto, and as a director for YieldStreet, Express KCS, RedZone Robotics, Spring Pharmaceutical, and Alignable. He served as Board Member at Trunomi. During his tenure as a professor at CMU, he co-founded numerous spinout companies, most notably, Panopto. Over the past three decades, he held senior leadership roles in several dozen institutionally backed ventures and has been instrumental in closing over 150 equity financing and M&A transactions, in partnership with more than 100 institutional co-investors. He served on the National Academies of Sciences and Engineering cybersecurity committee and co-founded Cylab, one of the world's largest cybersecurity research centers. Before entering the private sector, he worked on projects in over 30 countries for the U.S. Agency for International Development, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. He earned master's and doctoral degrees in international relations at Balliol College, Oxford University, where he was a British Council Scholar.
