Dr. William Guttman is a Co-Founder and serves as General Partner at Tennessee Community Ventures. He is also a Co-Founder of Panopto and also serves as its Executive Chairman and also serves as a Chairman at Axioma. He is an Advisory Board Member of YieldStreet. He also serves as the Board Member at CloudTags. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman at Carnegie Innovations. He is the Co-Founder of Acrobatiq, an advisor at Phystech Ventures and also serves as its Executive Chairman and Board Member. He is the founding chairman and chief executive of Carnegie Innovations("CI"), the technology commercialization company of Carnegie Mellon University ("CMU") and the parent company of Acrobatiq. CI's portfolio serves more than 3,000 corporations, universities and national governments and licenses technologies to some four million users in 94 countries. He has also served for more than a decade as special advisor to the provost at CMU. Over the past two decades, he held senior leadership roles in several dozen institutionally backed ventures - in many instances serving as chief executive. As a CMU professor of economics, he served on the cybersecurity committee of the National Academies of Sciences and Engineering and co-founded Cylab, one of the world's largest cybersecurity research centers. Before entering the private sector, he worked on projects in over 30 countries for the U.S. Agency for International Development, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. He earned master's and doctoral degrees in international relations at Balliol College, Oxford University, where he was a British Council Scholar. He also serves as Partner at Saturn Partners.
