Robert Pietrick General Information
Mr. Robert Pietrick is an Angel Investor. Previously, he served as Director at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company. A tPiechart Partners, he is responsible for maintaining the firm's business model and guiding principles; identifying, sourcing, and screening of investment opportunities; coordinating transaction due diligence and structuring; negotiating transaction parameters and financing; communicating with the firm's investors, advisors, and constituents; monitoring the firm's investments; and leading the execution of the firm's advisory services. Rob is an accomplished and entrepreneurially-charged business executive with nearly 20 years of hands-on experience in capital formation and principal investing, mergers and acquisitions and turnaround advisory, business development, and corporate finance structuring. Over his career, Rob has completed a wide-range of complex middle-market corporate finance assignments including principal investing, sell-side and buy-side advisory, restructurings (in and out of bankruptcy), capital raising (public and private), corporate valuations, leveraged buyouts, and general strategic advisory. He has processed and/or closed over 50 corporate finance transactions representing over $4.5 billion of enterprise value and capital amount raised and has led the execution of over a dozen private capital investments on behalf of his family and other family trusts. In addition to his career work with owner-entrepreneurs, Rob hails from two entrepreneurial-minded families as his and his wife's family own and operate small business enterprises. This direct entrepreneurial involvement has given Rob profound respect for the hard work, commitment, and emotional nature of successful entrepreneurship and value creation. This deep-rooted, visceral emotional desire of entrepreneurship and value creation is what led Rob to establish and execute the business model of Piechart Partners. Prior to founding Piechart Partners, Rob was a Director in the Investment Banking Group at National City Capital Markets. Rob returned to his native Northeast Ohio in 1999 after starting his career in Charlotte, North Carolina where he worked for Brookwood Associates, a middle-market investment banking firm, and in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance Departments of NationsBanc Capital Markets (predecessor entity to Banc of America Securities). He earned an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a BS in Business-Economics and Honors in Economics from Miami University. Rob attended St. Ignatius High School and, after moving and taking residency overseas, graduated high school from Singapore American School. He is an active board member for two privately-owned middle-market businesses and Kenston Futbol Club and chairs the Finance Council for the Church of the Holy Angels in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
