Description
Mr. Johansen was the President & Chief Executive Officer of AdvanDx since he co-founded the company in 2002 and brings extensive experience from positions he has held within business development and sales & marketing in the medical and scientific industries. Mr. Johansen was Director of Finance and Business Development of Boston Probes, in charge of all financing activities, and in 2001 was instrumental in the $38 million sale of the company to Applied Biosystems. Following the sale of Boston Probes, he became a member of Applied Biosystems business development group until founding AdvanDx. Prior to Boston Probes, Mr. Johansen was a Senior Marketing Manager in the worldwide scientific imaging group at Polaroid Corporation where he developed the global business strategy for the $80 million scientific imaging business. He worked in direct sales for Vicare Medical A/S, a distributor of Hewlett Packard Medical Equipment (now part of Siemens Medical). Mr. Johansen holds a BA in chemistry from Boston University and an MBA from Babson College.
