He is also an active investor; notable investments include Redfin (IPO, first investor), OfferUp, SignalSense (acquired by Splunk), Invincea (acquired by Sophos) and Wise.io (acquired by GE), AppSheet, Karat, and VaroMoney. He is also a co-founder in AnswerIQ, TrustedKey, Omnivor, and BlueCanoe Learning. TrustedKey was acquired by Workday Inc., a publically traded US tech company. He holds an M.S. in Engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. He previously Special Assistant to The President, EVP and CTO at Symantec, 20 years with Microsoft, last role VP for the Startup Business Group.
