Mr. Steven Hankin serves as the President and Board Member at Vacatia. He served as Chief Executive Officer at Video Equipment Rentals. Mr. Steven Hankin serves as a Managing Director at Starwood Capital Group. He joined Starwood in March 2010. As Managing Director, Portfolio Operations, Mr. Hankin helps manage the firm's operating entities such as Baccarat, Key Air, American Golf, Mammoth Mountain, B.R. Guest, and hotel companies the firm may acquire as well as other corporate investments. He serves as the Vice president of Baccarat. Prior to joining Starwood, Mr. Hankin was CEO of Sentient Jet. Prior to Sentient Jet, Mr. Sternlicht recruited Mr. Hankin to run Strategic Planning at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, a position he held for five years during which time he was tasked with developing Starwood's internet and distribution strategy which led to the formation of new distribution, customer marketing, and technology unit, STARS ("Starwood Technology and Revenue Systems"). This group helped invent and run Starwood Preferred Guest, the company's call centers, internet marketing and coordinated both online and offline marketing, as well as partnerships and third party distribution agreements. After several years, Mr. Hankin became Starwood's Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for brand marketing, brand operations, and creative services. Prior to Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Mr. Hankin was a partner at McKinsey and headed their Charlotte office. In his 13 years at McKinsey, he served clients in parcel, rail, and air as well as the travel agency business. He holds a BS from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Darden School of the University of Virginia.
