Mr. John Risley is an Angel Investor. Mr. John Risley serves as Chairman at UXP Systems. John Risley is a Canadian entrepreneur with major financial interests in broadband services, pay television, emerging technology, consumer goods and fisheries. He is the deputy chairman of Cable and Wireless, a provider of quadruple play broadband services in 42 markets across the Caribbean and Latin America. He and his business partner John C. Malone, are the largest shareholders of Cable & Wireless. Risley is also a major shareholder in UXP Systems, an emerging leader in user management systems for cable & telecommunications providers. Risley is active in Canadian business policy and charitable affairs, sitting on the Board of a number of charitable organizations. He is Chair of Futurpreneur Canada (a national platform to support young entrepreneurs) and co-Chair of the Capital Campaign for the Nature Conservancy. He regularly engages in public policy debate, is Chairman of the Atlantic Institute of Market Studies, a member of the World President's Organization, The Chief Executives Organization and is a director of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives. He is also a graduate of Harvard University's President's Program in Leadership. He was named an Officer of the Order of Canada - Canada's Highest Civilian Honor - in 1997.
