Mr. Jerome Engel serves as Managing Director at Berkeley Research Group. Mr. Engel serves as Board Member at Jupiter Systems. He serves as General Partner at Monitor Ventures. He serves as Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer at Niantic. He also serves as an Investment Governance Board Member at Future Planet Capital. He brings years of experience and success in high-technology entrepreneurship and venture capital. In addition, Mr. Engel continues to serve as Executive Director of the Haas School's Entrepreneurship Program, a program he founded in 1991. Mr. Engel was the founder of the Entrepreneurial Services Group at Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young). Clients included Autodesk, Fair Issac Companies, and Broderbund. He was also a founding General Partner in Kline Hawkes & Co., a Southern California-based venture fund. As General Partner with Kline Hawkes, he led investments in several successful start-ups including Above Net (IPO) and Transoft Technology Corporation (sold to HP). Mr. Engel has served on the Board of Directors of a number of emerging companies including Maxis Corporation (acquired by EA), MicroNet Technology (acquired by Ampex), and Transoft (acquired by HP). He is a CPA and received his Bachelor's degree from Penn State and his Master's from the Wharton School. He also served as a Board Member at MedAmerica Insurance.
