Mr. Matt Roberts serves as a Partner at ScaleUP Ventures. He serves as Board Member at Rewind. He served as Associate Director at BDC Capital IT Venture Fund. He serves as Board Observer at RenoRun and Medstack. He primarily focused on early-stage Seed and Series "A" opportunities. He joined BDC after he raised the Seed and Series "A" round for semiconductor startup GaN Systems. Prior to this, he was an analyst at venture capital firm Wesley Clover, best known as billionaire entrepreneur Terry Matthews' investment group. While there, he coordinated internal operations and facilitated the investments of new startup companies. He co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer at his own startup, JohnnyVoIP, a company that developed a VoIP application platform for web apps. Previous to this, he was the business development and strategy lead at an Ottawa-based startup investor (SeedCapital.ca) and at 18 was the youngest project coordinator at Newbridge Networks, working in the LMDS wireless group (now part of Alcatel Canada). He served as Board Member at Fusebill. He joined after graduating from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
