Before his healthcare entrepreneurship, he was Director of Corporate Development at GoTo.com (Overture), and before that, a private equity investor and investment banker in New York. He is an entrepreneur with a background in corporate finance and private equity. Prior to becoming a Partner at Stride, he was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Higi, a population health enablement company that owns the largest national network of health screening stations. In 2017, Higi acquired EveryMove, a venture-backed technology start-up where he was the co-founder and CEO. Before EveryMove, he was the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of REM Medical, a multi-state sleep disorder healthcare business that was acquired in September 2009. Prior to REM Medical, he was an investment professional for the private equity firms Kline Hawkes and Blue Point Capital, where he invested in healthcare, technology, and industrial-based enterprises. He was also an early employee at Overture Services (acquired by Yahoo in 2003), a pioneer in web-based search engine marketing. He has more than 25 years of experience as a Wall Street banker, private equity professional, and entrepreneur. He started his career at Salomon Smith Barney in New York before moving to Los Angeles to begin investing in early-stage start-ups. Following business school, he took the entrepreneurial leap and for the next 15 years built and exited two venture-backed businesses in both services and technology. He is a seasoned operator and a transaction professional. He is also regarded as both a guide and coach for senior leaders. In 2001, he published a book on the topic of leadership, One Life to Lead. He is both an active community leader, serving as Chairperson for Plymouth Housing's signature event, Seattle Dances, and was a past board member for the Jewish Community Center. He is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and received his MBA at the Anderson School at UCLA.
