Description

Mr. Kunal Upadhyay serves as Investment Principal, Board Member & Investment Committee Member at Bharat Innovation Fund. He co-founded and served as Chief Financial Officer at Piramal Sarvajal. He also serves as Advisor, Senior Fund Manager at ADB Ventures. He was previously the Co-Founder of Infuse Ventures, India's first Sustainability and Cleantech focused Fund. He is the Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner- Venture Investing at the Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship. He joined CIIE in 2007 and co-founded CIIE's investment arm, raising over $10 million for seed funding of high-tech ventures. He set up the incubator and seed fund - leading the incubation of investment in over 120 seed-stage ventures across the technology sectors. He conceptualized many initiatives at CIIE including the iAccelerator, The Power of Ideas, MentorEdge, Renewable Energy Search, and Stay Hungry Stay Foolish. He was a Co-Founder at Sarvajal, focused on the drinking water market, and also bootstrapped a campus social network and recruitment start-up. Prior to joining CIIE, he worked across continents as an internal strategy and operation Consultant with Citigroup and American Express. He serves as a Board Observer at Aspiration Energy private limited. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Green India Building Systems and Services Private Ltd. He has several years of incubation, investment, entrepreneurial and consulting experience. He is an M.B.A. from IIM Ahmedabad, a B.Tech from IIT Madras, and is an alumnus of the London School of Economics.
