Mr. Jo-ning Ta serves as an Investor at Sand Hill Angels. He was a Co-Founder and served as the Chief Technology Officer at bcodex. He serves as CTO in Symbio which is one of the leading global outsourced product development companies. Working in Technology Solutions, he has been focusing on leveraging new technologies and Symbio's design & development capabilities to define offerings and provide solutions for clients. He has 25 years of experience in managing and developing software from large-scale, high performance distributed systems, middleware, applications, and embedded devices in areas of the Internet, mobile, enterprise, and telecom in successful start-ups as well as leading corporations. He was VP Eng for Spark Tech, a start-up in developing embedded devices and app & server to bridge personal rich media data among mobile phone, desktop, and the web. He was VP Eng and co-founder of Mobile Radius, a mobile content charging and personalized marketing solution start-up. He was VP Eng for Sina.com, a leading Chinese Internet portal, and online media company. He was with Netscape leading the development of eCommerce, workflow systems, and the Internet application and database access framework. He also held various technical and management positions in Bell Communication Research, MMI, HP, Oracle, and Gupta. He received his MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and BS in Physics from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan.
