Mr. Alexander Angerer serves as Venture Partner at TechU. Previously, Mr. Angerer served as senior associate at Romulus Capital. He worked at Romulus Capital from 2009-2012 as a Senior Associate. He focused on deal origination and due diligence procedures. In the startup space, his interests are primarily on disruptive modes of financing, and, in particular, the use of crowd sourcing as an alternative means of raising capital for seed-stage startups. Alexander currently works as an investment analyst at a hedge fund. Previously, he started on the buy-side as a hedge fund research analyst and was responsible for identifying and evaluating hedge fund strategies and managers. Prior to business school, Alexander's work experiences were concentrated on the sell-side in Hong Kong and Singapore across a variety of financial institutions; first as an investment banker and then as a currency options trader. Trying to reclaim some of that entrepreneurial excitement, Alexander is working on his first crowdsourcing site. Outside all of that, he also scribbles away on his first work of fiction. Alexander received an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA from the University of Oxford.
