Mr. Geoffrey Yang is a Co-Founder and serves as a Partner at Redpoint Ventures. He serves as a Board Member and compensation Committee Member at Warner Bros. Discovery. He also is a Co-Founder and serves as Chairman at Rock The Bells. Mr. Yang served as Board Member at AT&T. He serves as a Board Member at Vurb, Wochit, Franklin Templeton, Scribd & Tastemade. He served as Advisor of Spotter. He is also an Angel investor. He is a Director at Franklin Templeton Group. He also served as a Board Member at Findery and Gaia Online. Prior to founding Redpoint, Geoff was a General Partner with IVP, a firm he joined in 1987. Geoff emphasizes investments in consumer media and infrastructure. His media and advertising investments include Ask Jeeves, Clicker, Efficient Frontier, Excite, Machinima, MySpace, and TiVo. His networking investments include Calix, Foundry Networks, Juniper Networks, MMC Networks, and Wellfleet. In addition, Geoff was Founding Director or previously led investments in Agile Networks, Applied Digital Access, BigBand Networks, Bluefin, Centillion, Collabra, Crescendo, Golfweb, JotSpot, Netcore Systems, Netlink, Oodle, Promontory, Rapid City, Shasta Networks, and Whitetree. Geoff previously served on the Advisory Council for the Stanford Graduate School of Business and on the President's Information Technology Advisory Committee (PITAC), as well as a Director of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) and President of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists (WAVC). Prior to joining IVP, Geoff was an Associate with First Century Partners and a Marketing Representative at IBM Corp. Geoff holds a B.S.E. in Engineering and Management Systems from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
