He is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur with expertise in leading companies through periods of aggressive growth. He is known for his success as the CEO of Shutterfly, and he has also served as VP of Marketing at Silicon Graphics and Senior VP at @Home Networks and Excite@Home. His first entrepreneurial experience was in clean energy as a co-founder of the solar thermal company Pacific Sun. He serves on the board of University Games. He holds BS and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Stanford University. He is on the board of directors of a number of early-stage start-ups.
