Ms. Alana Ackerson served as Chief Executive Officer at HQ Digital. Ms. Ackerson serves as Angel Investor at Alana Aldag Ackerson. She is an Advisor at Figure Technologies. She co-founded and served as Chief People Officer at Figure Technologies. Previously, she served as Managing Partner and President of Signum Investments, a quantitative and fundamental equity investment firm. Prior to that, she served as CEO of The Thiel Foundation, where she led the organization's efforts to support the next generation of entrepreneurs and to promote radical scientific and technological innovations, and as President and founding Partner of Cabezon Investment Group. She has also served as Vice President of Social Engagement for SoFi Inc. and as a Director of Clarium Capital Management. She sits on the Board of Directors for Opportunity International and the Board for the Association of Women in Alternative Investing. She has sat on the Board of Directors for Stanford Student Enterprises, the Executive Committee of Breakout Labs, and the San Francisco Committee for the International Justice Mission. She holds a B.A. with Honors in Science, Technology, and Society from Stanford University. She received her M.A. in Philosophical and Systematic Theology from the Graduate Theological Union. She earned a Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction from San Francisco Theological Seminary, where she is currently a candidate for a Doctorate of Ministry degree. She serves as a Senior Fellow at the Newbigin House of Studies.
