Paul Jeffries General Information
Dr. Paul Jeffries is aCo-Founder of Founderpool. Dr. Paul Jeffries serves as Angel Investor at Paul Jeffries. He served as Advisor at Viorama. He serves as Head of Legal Operations at Facebook. Mr. Jeffries helps coordinate and oversee legal and policy aspects of Global Online Sales & Operations, such as the rights holder notice-and-takedown program. Previously, as Head of the Platform Policy Team and founding Head of Platform Developer Operations & Support, he was responsible for creating and enforcing policies for Facebook Platform and Facebook Connect, and leading efforts covering various aspects of developer support, marketing, communications, and product feedback and development. Previously Mr. Jeffries worked in venture capital and startup consulting, helping launch new businesses and providing interim management assistance in operations, strategy, and business development. As Director in the Venture Capital Group of Ritchie Capital Management -- a multi-billion-dollar hedge fund -- he worked with colleagues to manage a portfolio of fund and direct venture investments while investing in biotechnology, healthcare, and information technology venture deals. Mr. Jeffries's experience leveraging his science background in venture capital, consulting, and operating roles for startups and established companies includes serving as VP for Technology & Business Development at an MRI medical device company, and as Director of Internet, IT, and Biomedical consulting for an international firm specializing in business development, strategy, sales, and marketing. He was co-founding CEO of a web and e-mail services startup, was acting CEO of a science and technology portal, and co-founded Houston's Technology Entrepreneurship Network. For three years Mr. Jeffries was on the faculty of Physics and Astronomy at Rice University, after teaching at the University of Washington and conducting research at the Sorbonne. He earned an undergraduate degree in physics from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Cornell University.
