Joshua Makaron is the Director of Finance and Administration at The Plant Cafe Organic. Previously, Mr. Makaron served as an Associate at Partnership Capital Growth Investors, focusing on the funds business across the firm. In this role, Joshua supported all aspects of private equity investing and portfolio management. Joshua held specific responsibilities for the TBL Capital portfolio, a triple bottom line venture fund of which PCG is the fund manager. Prior to PCG, Joshua served in valuation and operational capacities at Tudor Investment Corporation, a leading macro hedge fund based in Greenwich, Connecticut. He brings impact investing experience from a summer fellowship with Acumen Fund in their India office, where he identified promising social entrepreneurs delivering critical goods and services to the base of the economic pyramid. Joshua also brings start-up operational experience from an internship with a for-profit social enterprise in New York City working to increase the transparency and accessibility of the regional food system. Joshua holds an MBA in Social Entrepreneurship and Finance from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he was a Fuqua Scholar and co-directed the school's flagship conference on sustainable business and social impact. Joshua also holds a BA in Public Policy Studies from Duke University, where he served as a student manager for the men's basketball team.
