Description

His operational experience includes raising more than 38 million in venture funding, scaling companies and organizations from zero to more than 400 employees, and leading more than 10 acquisitions. His advising and investing experience includes acting as an informal adviser, board member, and investor for more than a dozen companies in areas as diverse as SaaS, banking, and organic agriculture. Previously, as Chief Operating Officer at Dynamic Network Services, Mr. Chynoweth was responsible for ensuring the company's overall operational effectiveness. He had day-to-day responsibility for the business operations, information systems and security, and talent and culture functions, as well as playing an integral part in the company's corporate development efforts. Mr. Chynoweth began his position at Dyn in 2007 after serving as outside legal counsel to the company starting in 2005. Prior to joining Dyn, Mr. Chynoweth practiced law as a Corporate Attorney at Sheehan Phinney Bass & Green. He is a founder of the NH Startup Challenge, a founding investor in TechOut, a leading force behind the combination of organizations that formed the AlphaLoft, and a mentor for young entrepreneurs at the Nantucket Conference. He is also the founder of Culture-Con, a conference that brings company and HR leaders together to talk about and improve workplace culture. He has founded, led, and served as a board member on a long list of non-profit organizations including StayWorkPlay, whose mission is to attract and retain the next generation of New Hampshire talent, and ICANN's Registrar Stakeholder Group, whose mission is to represent domain name registrars within the ICANN administrative framework. Mr. Chynoweth has a JD from Duke University School of Law, an MA in Public Policy from Duke University, and a BA in political science from the University of California-Berkeley, where he graduated magna cum laude.
