Mr. John Danner co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer at Zeal Learning. Mr. John Danner serves as Advisor at Sora Schools. Mr. Danner also co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer at Rocketship Education. Mr. Danner served as a Board Member at DreamBox Learning. Mr. Danner, former CEO and co-founder of Rocketship Education -- a national network of schools established to eliminate the elementary-age achievement gap in high-poverty neighborhoods -- John has been a pioneer in the Personalized Learning arena. He has also served as a teacher in the Nashville public school system for three years. He co-founded Sacred Heart Nativity School, a private Catholic middle school for at-risk Latino boys in San Jose. John previously served as the Chairman of the Charter School Resource Center of Tennessee and assisted with the establishment of 12 charter schools in Tennessee. He also served as a founding director of KIPP Academy Nashville, a charter middle school in Nashville. Prior to his work in education, John founded and served as CEO of NetGravity, an Internet advertising software company. John took NetGravity public and sold the company to Doubleclick in 1999. John holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master's Degree in Education Policy from Vanderbilt University. John is the 2010 winner of the Aspen Institute's John P. McNulty Prize and a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
