He joined Maveron in 2007 from education services provider Career Education Corp., where he co-founded and drove admissions and marketing strategy for IADT Online, a for-profit design school and a wholly owned Career-Ed subsidiary. Stoffer was an early Board member at zulily. He was a Board Member at General Assembly. He also led several of Maveron IV's most promising Seed investments, including CourseHero and Everlane. He serves on the Board of Fund V investment Dolls Kill and also sourced Peach, a Fund V investment. He was formerly a member of the advisory board of the Lumina Foundation's Next Generation Learning Initiative. He is also a mentor for TechStars. Previously, he was a board member of Startl, an education incubator. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan (BA economics) and the Wharton School at the University Of Pennsylvania (MBA).
