As the founder, logistics professional and a visionary Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty has re-defined India's logistics landscape. As the executive chairman of the global conglomerate Avvashya Group, Mr. Shetty leads multinational organizations such as Allcargo Logistics Ltd, India's largest logistics company in the private sector listed on BSE & NSE, with consolidated revenues expected to cross USD 1 billion by FY15 and thus becoming the first billion dollar integrated logistics multinational, headquartered in India. Previously Mr. Shetty has also received the 'Entrepreneur of the Year in Services Category' award by Ernst & Young. Mr. Shetty has a bachelor's degree in commerce from Shri Venkatramana Swamy College, Karnataka. He started his career in the logistics industry in 1978 with Intermodal Transport and Trading Systems Private Limited, Mumbai and subsequently moved to Forbes Gokak, a Tata Group company. In the year 1983, Mr. Shetty started his first venture called Transindia Freight Services P. Ltd, offering integrated transportation services in the port of Mumbai for handling ships. He has served on the Board of Mumbai Port Trust and also was the Co-Chairman of the Transport and Logistics Committee of The Indian Merchant Chambers. He was the Vice President of Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India.
