Prior to his venture capital activities, Julien founded or was part of the founding team for four startups: Ezlogin (acquired by 724 Solutions), Novita Communications (acquired by Planetweb), Radius (IPO). He holds 21 patents issued in the US. Julien received his postgraduate degree from Telecom Paris (France) and his Master of Science from Ecole Polytechnique (France).
