Description

Mr. Kusserow serves Chairman of the Board at Anedisys. With 25 years of healthcare experience with deep expertise in driving growth strategies, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Amedisys for eight years. Prior to that, he served as President and Vice Chairman of Alignment Healthcare, Inc, an integrated clinical care company focused on providing care to the Medicaid population. Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy, Innovations and Corporate Development Officer of Humana, a Fortune 75 healthcare services and benefits company. His experience also includes time as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of the Ziegler HealthVest Fund; Managing Director of San Ysidro Capital Partners and Managing Partner of Roaring Mountain. He began his healthcare career with Tenet Healthcare Corporation, one of the nation's largest investor-owned healthcare service companies, where he spent seven years, the last four as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Ventures. He is on the boards of Connecture (Nasdaq: CNXR), Oak Street (NYSE: OSH), Picwell, and New Century Health. Prior to Tenet, he was a consultant at McKinsey and Company, Inc. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and his Master of Arts from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. When he began at Amedisys in 2014, he helped stabilize the company and increase its market value. The company grew ten-fold under his leadership.
