Mr. Michael LaJoie is an Angel Investor. He served as Chairman of The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers. He served as a Board Member at Guavus. He served as an Executive Vice President and the Chief Technology and Network Connection Officer at Time Warner Cable. Before his most recent appointment, he was Time Warner Cable's Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, a position he assumed in January 2004. Before that, he served as Executive Vice President of Advanced Technology from March 2003, and in the same capacity for Time Warner Cable's Time Warner Entertainment (TWE) division from August 2002. He served as Vice President of Corporate Development of TWE from 1998 and President of the Broadband Applications Development Group of TWE, starting in 1996. He joined Time Warner in 1994 as Vice President of Software Development in the Time Warner Interactive Group. Through the 1980s and the early 90s, he provided consulting services in software development and network engineering. He has been a Series 7 Registered Representative and a NASDAQ Broker/Dealer. He has served on the boards of directors of several organizations, including the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), SCTE Foundation, and Beaumaris Networks. He served as chairman of the board of SCTE during the 2011-2012 term and was reelected for the 2012-2013 term. In 2011, he was named to the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.
