Before founding Energy Micro, he was a co-founder of Chipcon, serving as its President and CEO from Chipcon's beginning in 1996 until August 2007. He led Chipcon's development from its inception as a design house to becoming the market leader in low-power RF solutions a decade later. He holds an M.S. in electrical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, commonly known as NTNU, in Trondheim, Norway.
