Mr. Corey Reese is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Operating Officer, President & Board Member at Wholesail. He co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer at Ness Computing. he serves as Venture Partner at Alsop Louie Partners. He was formerly a VC for Alsop Louie Partners, where he initiated investments in Justin.tv and Gowalla. He was a Co-Founder & VP, Business Development at Homespun Technologies. He is currently Co-Founder and COO of Portola Plush Co., a stealth toy company he founded with his wife, Marissa Louie. His personal and investment interests lie in products that deliver exceptional user experiences, disruptive technologies, and single-origin coffee. His a native of Silicon Valley and a graduate of UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. He met Stewart and Gilman while he was a senior at UC Berkeley in 2006 and was looking to raise his own university-focused venture capital fund. He decided to join Stewart and Gilman, and during his three years with the firm, he sourced several investments, including Gowalla and Twitch, and recruited the initial group of campus associates from Berkeley, Stanford, and MIT. He and his co-founders incubated Ness Computing at the Alsop Louie Partners office before raising additional capital from Khosla Ventures, SingTel, American Express, and NTT DoCoMo.
