Mr. Roy Neff serves as Investment Strategy Committee Member at Miller Investment Management. He is an Angel Investor. Previously, he was a partner of Gamma Capital Advisors Ltd., which managed hedge funds using quantitative strategies, and Gamma Investors, LLC, a private equity investment fund. In 1981 Mr. Neff co-founded Cooper Neff & Associates, a proprietary options trading firm, and was responsible for its front office operations including trading, recruiting, and training. Later, Cooper Neff's currency option trading operation was acquired by Mitsui Trust Bank and Mr. Neff became managing partner of Cooper Neff Technologies, L.P., which both managed Cooper Neff's research function and consulted to the Japanese Bank. In 1995 both Cooper Neff and Mitsui Trust's currency option business were acquired by BNP Paribas, bringing the original parts of Cooper Neff back together. From that time until 1999, Mr. Neff served as co-chief executive officer of BNP/Cooper Neff, Inc., a subsidiary of the bank that was responsible for its derivatives trading business. Prior to founding Cooper Neff & Associates Mr. Neff was Senior Actuary at Winklevoss & Associates, Inc., where he focused on the actuarial funding, benefit design, and asset management of large public and private pension plans. Mr. Neff graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a BS in Mathematics, and earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
