David Twersky General Information
Mr. David Twersky serves as Executive, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Packaging And Distribution, Healthcare IT, Partner, Board Member and President at Robin Hood Ventures. He is a business executive with more than thirty years of pharmaceutical, life-science and venture capital experience. He was founder and CEO of Dixon-Shane Drug Company, a Philadelphia-based wholesale distributor, private-label manufacturer and packager of branded and generic pharmaceuticals, servicing public health clinics, hospitals, retail pharmacies, physicians, and managed-care organizations. Dixon-Shane's success as a vertically integrated pharma operation gave the company a national presence and enabled David to negotiate the sale of the company in 2002. While leading Dixon-Shane, he co-founded and was the first President of the Premier Distributor Group, a dynamic group purchasing organization (GPO) of independent pharmaceutical wholesalers located throughout the United States. Prior to entering the business world, he, who holds graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Social Work, was a practicing family therapist and a college-level Social Sciences instructor. His background in these fields has played a significant role in shaping his approach to business relationships and management.
