His experience includes the following: President and CEO of The Museum Company, a national 105 specialty retail store organization which maintained a strategic partnership with the Smithsonian; conducted turnaround management on behalf of the private equity owners, managed the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process and emergence, updated the business plan and secured support for it and the DIP financing, and sold the company to Kier Group. President and CEO of Sephora USA, a specialty beauty retail concept; launched and adapted retail concept to US, launched companies website, opened 70 stores in 2.5 years, and drove and revised business strategies. Chief Operating Officer of Fortunoff Group, a third generation department store; responsible for all operational disciplines, Director of the two competing family boards with mandate to consolidate operations, recommended strategic change to ownership, and supported the sale of the company to private equity owners as the lead non-family executive. Held various positions of increasing responsibility at DFS Group, a travel retail specialty group; responsible for the business turnaround and restoring its market position, served as Chairman of the Australian Duty Free Association, and assembled a new management team. Mr. Meitiner is a business mentor to XRC Labs that invests in entrepreneurs in the retail and consumer goods industries leveraging emerging technologies, an Operating Partner of MOKA Consultancy Services which provides advisory services regarding digital technologies on business models and extracting value from "big data", and a Managing Director of Ash Creek Capital Advisors which provides advisory services to small and medium sized enterprises. Mr. Meitiner earned his Certificate, Distribution Management Principles, from the College of Distributive Trades, London, UK and a National Retail Certificate from Eastbourne College.
