Mr. Joydeep Bhattacharyya serves as General Partner - West Coast at Canaan Partners. He serves as a General Partner at Canaan. He served as a Board Member at PerimeterX, MachEye and Contentsquare. He served as a Board Member at LiveIntent, SAVVY, Alkymi, Human Security, ContentSquare, Mindtickle, Dragos, BoostUp.ai, Appsmith, Sync Computing, and Axis Security. Mr. Bhattacharyya co-owned TigerConnect. He was a Board Observer at Extole. He served as a Principal at Shasta Ventures. He invests in SaaS-enabled enterprise software including mobile enterprise solutions. His experience in enterprise SaaS is rooted in the founding days of Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Lync Online. Having ended his tenure there with two patents for the architecture of the sign-up management platform, he is equally if not more proud of the other operations he managed including customer support and IT deployment. Beyond software, he has an interest in rural welfare. He took a summer off to set up a goat farming business in India aimed at improving the livelihood of millions of rural households practicing animal husbandry. He is also fascinated by the confluence of culture and history, living his passion by traveling the ancient Silk Road, mostly on local buses, trains, and even camels. He earned his MBA from Kellogg School of Management, where he was a CRTI fellow, and a BE degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University.
