Description

Mr. Yuvraj Singh is a Co-Founder & serves as a Joint Managing Director at DMI Finance. He also is the Co-Founder at Sparkle Fund. He brings nearly two decades of experience in finance to his role, with an expertise in fixed income structuring, trading, and risk management. He began his career in the risk management department at the Commodities Corporation, a leading trading firm (now a division of Goldman Sachs). In 1995, he moved to Wall Street, trading mortgage-backed securities at Lehman Brothers and eventually running the firm's mortgage derivatives desk. In 2000, he took on a new challenge and followed his entrepreneurial passion, becoming a partner at Compro Technologies, a small software development firm in India. His mandate was to build the fixed-income risk management and analytics vertical at the company. Today, Compro is an award-winning software consultancy, with bases in the US, UK, and India. Mr. Singh returned to Wall Street in 2002, joining Bear Stearns as a Director in their mortgage business. His area of focus was structuring and trading derivative products in mortgages, including Interest-only and Principal-only strips and Agency fixed-rate CMOs. In 2003, Mr. Singh moved on to Citigroup, where a long personal friendship with Mr. Chatterjee became a professional relationship as well. He was promoted to Managing Director three years later. He served as Citigroup's representative on the Agency Committee, Securitized Products of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), which is the governing body for all Fixed Income securities in the USA. It was at Citigroup that Mr. Singh and Mr. Chatterjee first conceived of creating a platform for building a fixed-income business in India. In 2008, he left Citigroup, returning to India to do just that, co-founding DMI. Mr. Singh is a graduate of Princeton University's class of 1994, with a B.A. in Economics. He lives in New Delhi with his family.
