Dimitri Karmpaliotis General Information
Description
Dr. Dimitri Karmpaliotis served as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board & Board Member at Traverse Vascular. He is also an Angel Investor. He is a member of the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy at Columbia University Medical Center. He specializes in advanced, complex coronary intervention. He brings experience in percutaneous coronary interventions and will direct the new Chronic Total Occlusions, Complex, and High-Risk Angioplasty Program at CIVT. Before coming to Columbia University, he was instrumental in building an interventional cardiology program at Piedmont Heart Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He has served as principal investigator on more than 50 clinical trials, with a special interest in the development of techniques for treating chronic total occlusions in coronary arteries. He graduated from the University of Athens School of Health Sciences in 1996 and trained at the prestigious Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School.
