Description

Dr. Edward Lopez served as Chief Legal Officer at Sakuu. Dr. Lopez serves as Board Member & Advisor at L5 Automation. He served as Chief Administrative Officer & Chief Legal Officer at Silicon Image. As Chief Legal and Administrative Officer, Lopez is responsible for overseeing the company's legal affairs worldwide, including corporate governance and compliance, securities laws and intellectual property matters, strategic partnerships, litigation, licensing, and mergers and acquisitions activity. Lopez also oversees the Company's technology services organizations and is the company's Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary. Lopez joined Silicon Image in January 2007 from the law firm of Morrison & Foerster, where he was Of Counsel and advised public and private emerging growth, medical device and technology companies in a wide variety of substantive areas, with an emphasis on board and corporate governance matters, securities regulatory and disclosure matters, financings and strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, purchases and sales of assets, licensing, joint ventures and distribution arrangements. Previously, Lopez was General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Terayon Communication Systems, a publicly held manufacturer of broadband access equipment. Lopez has also held senior management and general counsel positions at ReSound Corporation and Nellcor Puritan Bennett, Inc., two publicly-held, medical device companies. Lopez began his career as an associate with the law firms of Morrison & Foerster and McCutchen Doyle Brown & Enersen. Lopez earned his B.A. in Economics from Columbia University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
