Mara Foundation provides mentorship, incubation centre workspace, networking opportunities and business trainings for emerging entrepreneurs in Africa.Mara Foundation is a social enterprise that designs and implements programmes that promote entrepreneurship in Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria and Kenya with plans to expand further.We run a mentorship programme that partners top business leaders with exciting young entrepreneurs; we offer affordable and professional office space in our Mara Launchpad in Dar es Salaam; and finally we are developing a venture capital fund to invest in innovative start-ups.We take an entrepreneurial approach to meeting the regions challenges, and we look for opportunities to make the biggest impact we can. We were born out of Mara Group, a pan-African group of companies set up by our founder, Ashish J. Thakkar. His vision is to apply his success as a business entrepreneur to meeting some of the regions social challenges.
