Description
NECA-IBEW Welfare Trust Fund is a multi-employer defined benefit union pension fund based in Decatur, Illinois. Established in 1955, the fund became self-insured on October, 1967 and on April 1st, 1991, the fund became self-administered. The plan was formed after a declaration of trust and an agreement between local unions affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and several participating chapters of the National Electrical Contractors Association to provide health and welfare benefits to eligible employees and their dependents working under collective bargaining agreements and retirees. The assets of the pension fund are managed by the board of trustees.
