The Pew Charitable Trusts General Information


The Pew Charitable Trust is a non-profit foundation based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Established in 1948, the foundation is the sole beneficiary of seven individual trusts established between 1948 and 1979 by two sons and two daughters of Sun Oil Company founder Joseph N. Pew and Mary Anderson Pew. Its areas of interest include public opinion research, arts, culture, environment, health, state, and consumer policy initiatives. The assets of the foundation are managed by the Board of Directors.
