Samro Retirement Annuity Fund General Information
Description
Samro Retirement Annuity Fund (SRAF) is a single-employer non-contributory corporate pension based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Established in 1969, for SAMRO composer members only, in recognition of the fact that most musicians struggle to put a consistent amount away for their retirement. This also meant that many were unable to get regular financing, not being regarded as formally employed and were asked to produce tax clearances, audited financial statements, balance sheets and income statements. The fund is administered by Robson Savage. The assets of the plan are managed by the board of trustees.
