Biography
Mr. Omar Rifai is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Growth Officer and Board Member at Grubtech. He was a seed investor and board member at Ikcon, a cloud kitchen operator sold to Reef Technologies in 2021. Prior to co-founding Grubtech, He served as Managing Director, Growth Capital at Gulf Capital in Dubai. He served as Executive Director at Standard Chartered Private Equity based in Dubai where he led numerous growth capital investments in the MENA region. He also served as Head of Portfolio Management for SCPE across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Prior to joining Standard Chartered Private Equity, he was based in New York where he worked at DA Capital (Credit Suisse hedge fund) and CIBC World Markets as an investment banking analyst. He has a master's degree in Economics from New York University and bachelor's degrees in Finance and Economics from Michigan State University.
