Biography
Mr. Gijs den Hartog is a Co-Founder and serves as Fund Manager & Partner at Capital Mills. Mr. den Hartog started his professional career immediately after completing his studies in Economics. He is also a Co-Founder of Optisport Leisure Group and has led the company for over 20 years in which it has become the market leader with more than 150 sports facilities in the Netherlands. Waterland Private Equity has taken an interest in the company during the last 5 years. In the role of CEO, he led the company through a buy-and-build strategy and prepared for a successful exit in 2012. He has a special interest in Shared Value investments, in which social and financial performance go hand in hand. He holds a degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1990 and a Bachelor's in Economics from HEAO Breda in 1986.
