Biography

Mr. Ravender Goyal Co-Founded and served as an Advisor at Tavanza. He co-founded and served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and chairman of the Board at Sureline Systems. Ravi brings more than 25 years of entrepreneurial and corporate experience, envisioning innovative products, and building and leading engineering and product development teams to design, develop, and successfully deliver products to market from inception, with compelling value propositions. Prior to founding Sureline, he was co-founder of Datalane Systems, Inc. a long-term archival storage company, later acquired by Hitachi-LG Data Systems. Before that, he was senior staff at the StoreVault division of NetApp (a spin-in product line), where he developed a low-cost, all-in-one NAS, iSCSI storage appliance, using off-the-shelf components, from inception to successful market introduction and volume production, also acquired a large number of resellers for the midtier market. He was also the co-founder/CEO at Xpedion Design Systems (acquired by Agilent); Dir. of Design Services and the first employee at Anadigics (a startup with IPO in the 90s); Dir of Engineering at startup Advanced Cellular Technology (IPO and subsequently acquired by Pacific Telecom). He has also worked at Mentor Graphics and National Semiconductor. A senior member of IEEE, Ravi is a co-author/Editor of two books widely prescribed as graduate-level textbooks at several universities worldwide, including translation in several foreign languages. He has authored and co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed technical publications in various IEEE prestigious journals and international conferences. He also has 3 US patents awarded and 5 US patents pending in the storage space. Ravi holds a master's degree in EE & CS from the University of Minnesota, an MTech in EE from I.I.T. Kanpur, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications from IIT Roorkee, India.
