Biography

Mr. Guillermo Söhnlein serves as Executive-in-Residence at E2MC Ventures. He serves as Venture Partner at Nexxus Ventures. He serves as Board Member & Advisor at SynapseMX. He co-founded and served as President at Milo.com. He also serves as Venture Partner at Nexxus Ventures. He has spent fifteen years in leadership roles with various technology startups in Silicon Valley, the Washington DC area, Seattle, and South Florida. Previously, he was Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of OceanGate, a global provider of deep-sea manned submersible solutions for ocean exploration, research, and commercialization, as well as Chairman of the Marine Technology Society's Ocean Exploration Committee. He was also the Founder and Chairman of the International Association of Space Entrepreneurs, an online community that is currently managed by the Space Frontier Foundation. He has been a frequent speaker on new venture creation, has taught university courses on entrepreneurship and early-stage finance, and has consulted with various funds, incubators, and investor groups. He earned an A.B. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, after which he served four years on active duty as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He serves as Advisor at New Vista Capital.
