Biography

Mr. Christopher Somogyi serves as Board Member at iFirst Medical Technologies. Mr. Somogyi co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer & Board Member at EverCase. He co-founded & served Chairman at BlueNalu. He has over 35 years of experience in management and operations with an emphasis on the commercialization of innovation from lab to market. His background includes technology commercialization, a new company launching, product engineering, corporate partnership crafting and management, and venture capital investment portfolio management across a broad range of product areas, technologies, and markets globally. He has a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University; a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University and an MBA in Strategy, Finance, and Marketing. He is a sought-after speaker and a board director on both corporate and not-for-profit boards. In addition, he is an inventor of 24 issued and in-process US patents and several foreign patents involving electronics software processes mechanical systems from medical instrumentation sensing methods biotechnology tissue engineering, and supercooling. Supercooling is the technology a the heart of the business that is EverCase. He served as Board Member at ScaleOut Software. Mr. Christopher Somogyi served as Managing Partner at Reef Capital Ventures. Mr. Somogyi served as Chairman at the Eta phase. He maintains his position as Chairman of the Board at the Eta phase. Chris is also a former guest lecturer on entrepreneurship at the University of Washington Foster School of Business and the University of Auckland Business School. Chris continues to enjoy advising, coaching, and facilitating network connections for entrepreneurs as they advance their efforts.
