Biography

Mr. Heston Berkman is the Founder & serves as Partner at Banter Capital (United States). Mr. Berkman served as Principal, Venture at SignalFire. He is a Principal at SignalFire where he is focused on evaluating investment opportunities and supporting founders as they work through building their businesses. Prior to joining the team, he worked as an angel investor, entrepreneur, and startup advisor collaborating with businesses in their earliest stages of development. He immersed himself in the world of early-stage entrepreneurship in college where he interned at First Round Capital throughout the school year. He later took on the additional responsibility as the Managing Partner of First Round Capital's Dorm Room Fund. Upon graduating, he was part of the investment team at BoxGroup, an early-stage venture fund, where he focused on consumer-focused businesses and led prospective investments. Later, he worked as a product manager at a mobile-marketplace startup focusing on retention work-streams across iOS and Android platforms. He has formed teams, shipped products, established go-to-market plans, built initial business models, as well as spearheaded, and participated in, fundraising efforts for multiple businesses including his own. He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Science, Technology, and Society.
