Biography

Mr. Michael Ashley Schulman serves as Partner & Chief Investment Officer at Running Point Capital Advisors. He served as Managing Director, Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager & Consultant at Hollencrest Capital Management. He served as a Board Member at Veracity Industrial Networks. He is a Registered Representative with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA"), having attained multiple Series Designations administered by that organization. He has broad experience in top-down and bottom-up analysis from both the fundamental and quantitative perspectives across a wide variety of financial instruments. He has consulted for the World Federation of Exchanges, the Colombian Financial Exchange, and several high-tech firms, and has presented at forums in Orange County, Malaysia, Argentina, and Spain. He began his professional career in 1991, at Pacific Income Advisors in Santa Monica, California, where he was promoted to the position of Portfolio Manager and managed fixed income and equities for companies, managed accounts, union pension funds, group trusts, and high net worth clients. While at Pacific Income Advisors, he developed a real-time quantitative analysis system that allowed the firm to create new stock strategies and grow assets under management. Directly prior to joining Hollencrest in 2005, he spent over three years at Deutsche Bank as Vice President, and CDO/Quantitative Analysis Specialist. Within the community, he has served as President of the CFA Society of Orange County and remains active within the Society. In addition, he serves on the Advisory Board of the UC Irvine, Paul Merage School of Business, Center for Investment and Wealth Management. He has an MBA from MIT Sloan, a CFA designation, and a BA in Economics from UC Berkeley.
