Biography

Ms. Bethany George serves as a Board Member & VC Advisor at Asynt Solutions. Ms. George served as a Partner in investments at Jumpstart Ventures. She served as a Board Observer at MavenVue. She also served as Managing Director at Rev1 Ventures. She serves as a Board Member at MavenView, Invirsa, and SocialVentures. She also served as a Board Member at The Toasted Oat and Invirsa. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs in Ohio, she has deep empathy for the entrepreneur's path and is passionate about the growth opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs in the Midwest. She has dedicated her career to building a thriving early-stage investment ecosystem in Ohio since the formation of the Entrepreneurial Signature Program by the Third Frontier, partnering with hundreds of founders, entrepreneurs, principal investigators, and investors to put their companies, and Ohio, on the map. She created her own master's degree at Ohio University via the Individual Interdisciplinary Program, while she helped form TechGROWTH Ohio and taught MBA students the ropes of working with early-stage entrepreneurs. She is the founding Executive Chair of VentureNext, a group of 150+ rising investment professionals across 100+ funds throughout the Midwest. She recently co-led the creation of the group's mentorship program and currently serves on the executive committee in the Mentorship Chair role. She helps the Rev1 investments team analyze, execute, and manage investments in concept and seed-stage companies. She's worked with startups and venture development organizations for more than a decade all over the world from North America to Europe to Asia. She has a BS degree in Journalism and an MA degree with an emphasis in business, economics, and political science from Ohio University.
