Biography
Dr. Scott Manske serves as Chief Cordilleran Geologist at Mandalay Resources. Dr. Manske was born and raised in the state of Oregon, USA, where he now again currently resides. He received his undergraduate education at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, and holds graduate degrees from the University of Arizona (Tucson, AZ) and Stanford University (Palo Alto, CA). He was also a Research Associate at the Colorado School of Mines (Golden, CO) on a post-doctoral appointment under Dr. Murray Hitzman and Dr. Jeff Hedenquist. Scott has over 30 years experience in minerals deposit geology as a staff scientist and consultant to industry, primarily in precious-metals and copper exploration and development, but also with brief forays into Mo-W deposit evaluation and coal field assessment. He was a member of the original discovery team that identified the giant, concealed porphyry center near Superior, Arizona, now known as the Resolution Deposit. Scott's work has ranged the spectrum from greenfields exploration to mining engineering, and has taken him from the American Southwest to the Andean Cordillera, Eastern Europe, East Asia, Australia, and Namibia.
