Biography

Mr. Larry Ellman serves as Managing Director & Head of Venture Investments at Berkshire Residential Investments. Mr. Ellman is a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Partner at Broadview Real Estate Partners. He is responsible for executing and directing Berkshire Venture Investments with oversight of investment and portfolio management activities, managing the organization and investor relationships. He has over two decades of experience in real estate investment in numerous sectors across U.S. markets including debt, entity-level, joint ventures, and direct acquisitions. Before joining Berkshire, Mr. Ellman was Managing Director and the Head of Citigroup's $600 million institutional North American real estate opportunity fund where he was responsible for overseeing investment and fund management activities. He previously was Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Real Estate, where he led a team responsible for $7 billion of diversified investment activity. Earlier, he held positions with the J.W. O'Connor Group and Jones Lang Wootton. Mr. Ellman holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Pension Real Estate Association and a board member of The Urban Dove.
